No one will quite forget Meghan Markle<\/a> at the Royal Wedding<\/a>. While droves of people gushed about the boat-neck Givenchy gown, beauty fanatics awed at her glowing complexion and no-makeup makeup. Behind Markle’s dewy face was Daniel Martin and speaking with People<\/a>, <\/em>he has reflected on the 2018 wedding.<\/p>\n

Martin explained he was seated close to the Kingdom Choir who famously sang Ben E. King’s classic “Stand By Me.” As an Asian-American, he marveled at the diversity that was involved although noted just one other person of Asian descent was there – and she worked for the palace.<\/p>\n

“I just remember being in the church. I was sitting in the back where the choir was at,” Martin told the publication. “When they started singing, it literally resonated through our bodies. I remember sitting there and taking it in. “Wow, what an incredible opportunity to have such diversity in this particular church. I’m just thinking about what other Asian people were at her wedding. I literally only saw one other person and she worked for the palace,” he added.<\/p>\n

Martin is the Global Director of Artistry and Education at TATCHA and counts the likes of Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, and Olivia Palermo<\/a> as clients. He notes however that he will forever be known simply as “Meghan Markle’s Makeup Artist.” And he’s ok with that. In fact, the duo are longtime friends.<\/p>\n
