Josh Duhamel has revealed that he emailed Armie Hammer to apologize for taking his role in the upcoming Jennifer Lopez<\/a> film, Shotgun Wedding.<\/em><\/p>\n

Armie was let go from the project in early 2021 amid a wave of claims from women that he was emotionally and physically abusive,<\/a> and had reportedly had conversations with different women about cannibalistic fetishes<\/a> and disturbing sexual proclivities.<\/p>\n

Now, Josh has shared that “it\u2019s not how I like to get roles,” and that he knew Armie and so chose to contact him to clear the air.<\/p>\n

“I know Armie [Hammer] a little bit, and when I knew I was gonna get the part I emailed him and said, \u2018Listen, I know you are going through it right now, I don\u2019t like to get roles like this and I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you and good luck, get through it,'” the actor said in a new interview.<\/a><\/p>\n

“He emailed me right back and said thank you so who knows, hopefully he gets through it.”<\/p>\n

Armie, a father-of-two,<\/a> has denied the \u201cbullsh*t claims\u201d with his attorney, Andrew Brettler of Lavely and Singer, labeling the accusations \u201cpatently untrue\u201d and that any interactions with partners were \u201ccompletely consensual<\/a> in that they were fully discussed, agreed upon, and mutually participatory.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Call Me By Your Name<\/em> star\u2019s agency and personal publicist both parted ways with him amid the allegations.<\/p>\n
