Illuminating yellow is Pantone’s 2021 Color of the Year<\/a>, so it’s no major<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>surprise that we’ve seen so many celebrities embracing the bold hue. The first that comes to mind is Zendaya at the Academy Awards<\/a> this past April. The\u00a0<\/span>Malcolm and Marie\u00a0<\/span><\/em>actress stunned in a strapless custom Valentino cutout gown worthy of an award. Also deserving of honorable mentions are Gal Gadot<\/a> and Priyanka Chopra. Both stars have taken to social media sporting the mood-boosting color recently. The <\/span>Wonder Woman<\/span><\/em>\u00a0star debuted a Monse slip<\/a> from the label’s SS21 collection, and the\u00a0<\/span>Unfinished\u00a0<\/span><\/em>author posted a photo to her feed<\/a> wearing a feather embellished maxi dress from Emilio Pucci.<\/span><\/p>\n

This considered, yellow is quite obviously at the top of everyone’s mind, a nice change from donning neutral-toned sweatsuits and athleisure for most of the COVID-19 quarantine. Perhaps it’s a bit extreme, but this fashion and beauty editor is welcoming the color into both her closet and her vanity. I’m no psychiatrist, but I associate yellow with feelings of happiness, optimism, and warmth.
