When you think of health, Gwyneth Paltrow<\/a> is one of the first faces that pops to mind. The actress turned entrepreneur was one of the first famous faces to jump on the wellness wagon, making juice cleanses and talking about female pleasure mainstream, and creating a multi-million dollar business\u2014Goop\u2014in the process.<\/span><\/p>\n

In lockdown, you\u2019d assume Paltrow was one of the rare people who used the opportunity to self-optimize: cook more, learn a language and, of course, do enough online exercise classes to not be petrified of a return to the ‘real world,’ socializing and the anticipated Hot Vax Summer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But, it turns out, just like you and me, Paltrow turned to alcohol and carbs to get through the pandemic, admitting she gained 14 pounds during California\u2019s lockdowns and drank whiskey\u2014albeit quinoa whiskey\u2014every night.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI was drinking seven nights a week and making pasta and eating bread. I went totally off the rails,\u201d Paltrow, who usually markets herself as being a beacon of health, told <\/span>The Mirror<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, who drinks multiple drinks seven nights a week? Like that\u2019s not healthy. I love whiskey and I make this fantastic drink called the Buster Paltrow, which I named after my grandfather who loved whiskey sours,\u201d she continued.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
