Eva Mendes<\/a> is consistently dubbed one of the most beautiful women in the world. It’s an indisputable fact, and probably the only avenue in which I’ve been able to reconcile her ending up in a long-term relationship<\/a> with Ryan Gosling<\/a>, rather than me.<\/p>\n

But the actor recently revealed that even at the height of her career, she didn’t always feel beautiful. Mendes, who now shares two daughters with Gosling, posted a throwback snap on Instagram of herself while starring in Once Upon a Time in Mexico\u00a0<\/em>back in 2003.<\/p>\n

“Just came across this picture from a movie that was almost 20 years ago. I remember seeing this photo back then and thinking my face looked ‘weird’ and that my bone structure was odd,” she captioned the post. “You know all those insecurities that a 26 year old can have.”<\/p>\n
