We knew the day would come but we probably didn\u2019t think it would come so soon. After 14 years on television \u2013 and a huge 20 seasons \u2013 Kim Kardashian West has just announced<\/a> that she and her family have made the \u201cdifficult decision\u201d to say goodbye to Keeping Up With The Kardashians.<\/em><\/p>\n

The last season will air early next year in 2021.<\/p>\n

In a statement addressed to her \u201camazing\u201d fans, Kardashian, 39, acknowledged the careers she and her sisters have carved out due to the success of the reality show and had the below to say:<\/p>\n

After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who\u2019ve watched us for all of these years \u2013 through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We\u2019ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we\u2019ve met along the way.<\/em><\/p>\n

Thank you to the thousands of individuals and businesses that have been a part of this experience and, most importantly, a very special thank you to Ryan Seacrest for believing in us, E! for being our partner, and our production team at Bunim\/Murray, who\u2019ve spent countless hours documenting our lives.<\/em><\/p>\n

Our last season will air early next year in 2021.<\/em><\/p>\n

Without <\/em>Keeping Up with The Kardashians, I wouldn\u2019t be where I am today. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years. This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever.<\/em><\/p>\n

It is unclear what sparked the seemingly sudden decision. While other Kardashian-Jenner members are yet to weigh in, Khloe Kardashian expressed how emotional this announcement is.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so grateful and thankful to everyone who has supported us and been there through it all. I\u2019m too emotional to fully express myself at the moment,” she said in an Instagram post. “My sappy post will come soon. Change is hard but also needed at times. I love you all. Thank you for the memories!\u201d<\/p>\n

In statement from E! News<\/em> via Variety<\/em><\/a>, the network – which inked a nine figure deal with the family in 2017, signatures reported to be worth at least\u00a0 $100 million – have said they will miss the “empowering family.”<\/p>\n

\u201cAlong with all of you, we have enjoyed following the intimate moments the family so bravely shared by letting us into their daily lives. While it has been an absolute privilege and we will miss them wholeheartedly, we respect the family\u2019s decision to live their lives without our cameras,” it read.<\/p>\n
