Royal ruckus aside, let us turn to Meghan Markle’s first outfit of the year on a visit to Canada House in London. A lesson in tonal dressing if we ever did see it, the Duchess of Sussex stepped out in an entire brown-hued ensemble.<\/p>\n

First there was the coffee-colored turtleneck sweater, then the chocolatey satin skirt by Vince (which has inevitably sold out), and then a camel coat by Reiss, which she slung both across her shoulders and carried over her arm. Then, of course, arguably the most important part of any look: the shoes. Markle made an interesting choice, a pointed pump by Jimmy Choo<\/a> in a rich chocolate brown velvet.<\/p>\n

In another shocking move (by sovereign standards, anyway), it’s not the first time the Duchess has worn the shiny pump. Back in 2018, Markle wore the velvet heels on a trip to Belfast with Prince Harry while visiting a youth-led initiative called Amazing the Space.<\/p>\n

Along with a slew of celebrities, including Beyonc\u00e9<\/a> and Kim Kardashian West, the Spring Summer 2020 shows made a very strong case for tonal dressing, with the likes of Sies Marjan, Sally LaPointe and Roksanda sending mighty monochrome color down the runway<\/a>.<\/p>\n
