Run the World<\/em> is Sex and the City<\/em><\/a> meets Living Single<\/em><\/a> \u2014 and we\u2019re willing to bet it will be your new favorite show. The eight-episode, half-hour series begins airing on Starz May 16. <\/span>In a press release for the series, it’s described as \u201cthe story of a group of Black women<\/a>: vibrant, fiercely loyal best friends. At its core, it\u2019s an unapologetically female show about enviable friendship and not only surviving but thriving together.\u201d In the trailer we see Amber Stevens West as Whitney Green, Andrea Bordeaux as Ella McFair, Bresha Webb as Renee Ross, and Corbin Reid as Sondi Hill, looking fabulous and living life as best friends in Harlem.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
