The Copenhagen Fashion Week darling has been dreaming up her infamous voluminous frocks long before puff sleeves became a sartorial mainstay, and in 2018 she put pearl-decorated Suicoke sandals on her runway when dadcore was at its peak. Now, Bahnsen is back with a new range of footwear that is sure to be a bright spot in any wardrobe.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19293 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2021\/04\/Hereu-ss21-DSC_1856.jpg\" alt=\"Cecilie Bahnsen\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1500\" data-gz_credit=\"Credit: Courtesy of Cecilie Bahnsen\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For me, it is so important for one&#8217;s style to feel timeless and be long lasting, and to invest in quality items that will withstand time and carry you through the seasons,&#8221; Bahnsen says of the impetus behind her new fancy flats (first seen in the Danish designer&#8217;s Spring 2021 collection), which were made in collaboration with the craft-forward Spanish label Hereu. &#8220;The whole process was easy and natural,&#8221; she continues\u2014as are the handwoven subtly square-toed shoes themselves, which were stitched together from hawthorn taft, a fabric inspired by the sturdy berry-bearing bush plant that grows on Danish beaches, or upcycled plastics supplied by label CASC8.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19295 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2021\/04\/Hereu-ss21-DSC_1865.jpg\" alt=\"Cecilie Bahnsen\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1500\" data-gz_credit=\"Credit: Courtesy of Cecilie Bahnsen\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The only downside? Choosing just one. Accented with delicate designs and bound together with leather binding, the light-as-air Hyacinths are available in shades of black, bold pink, and off-white, the last of which, when pressed, Bahnsen admits is her personal favorite. &#8220;You can see the different soft color tones of the warp weaving through the clear recycled plastic,&#8221; she says of the style, which she pairs with her label&#8217;s signature soft knits and sculptural skirts.
