The 73rd annual British Academy Film Awards, otherwise known as the BAFTAs, have kicked off in London, United Kingdom with celebrities joined by royalty – Kate Middleton and Prince William – for their last awards ceremony before the Oscars.<\/p>\n

As they do every year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were scheduled to attend the night (Prince William is president of BAFTA), with the royal couple arriving on the red carpet just after the likes of Margot Robbie, Zo\u00eb Kravitz and Scarlett Johansson.<\/span><\/p>\n

All eyes were on Kate Middleton as stepped a sparkly, Cinderella-esque gold heel onto the carpet, wearing a white and gold speckled gown by her go-to designer, Alexander McQueen.<\/p>\n

It’s not unusual for the duchess to recycle her outfits – she first wore this dress in 2012 at a state dinner in Malaysia – but the choice was part of a wider theme tonight with BAFTA organizers encouraging attendees to buy vintage or rewear items they’ve worn before, rather than buy new, for the event.<\/p>\n
