Last year,\u00a0<\/span>Cardi B’s<\/span><\/a>\u00a0DIY hair mask recipes went viral on social media. Fans raced to their kitchens to gather the ingredients needed to test out the strengthening concoction she uses to hydrate her strands and strengthen 2-year-old daughter Kulture’s curls. Despite fans’ overwhelming interest in learning the rapper’s hair care secrets, it’s been a while since she dished out more tips for her 87 million Instagram followers. But per her most recent Instagram post, it sounds like there’s a reason why the Bronx native’s been so quiet about her regimen: the\u00a0<\/span>“WAP” hitmaker’s<\/span><\/a>\u00a0been hard at work giving her followers what they want: an Afro-Latina hair care line.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cardi B\u2014n\u00e9e Belcalis Marlenis Alm\u00e1nzar\u2014announced the news in a post shared on Monday, March 29. “This year, I will be coming out with a hair line that I been working on at home for my hair and my daughter’s,” she wrote, adding that she intends to play a role in educating people about Afro-Latina hair textures. “I think [it] is time for people to educate themselves on nationality, race, and ethnicity. Being Hispanic\/Latina don’t make your hair long, don’t make your skin light, or don’t make your face features slim, specially Latin countries from the Caribbean islands. Dna have something to do with your hair not your nationality but guess what you can always maintain your hair …..and one more things not everyone that speaks Spanish is Mexican.”<\/p>\n

The mom of one has neither shared a potential launch date just yet, nor has she divulged many details. But after a little <\/span>Twitter snooping<\/span><\/a>, we discovered that she’s been tweaking her hair mask recipe. “I have also been adding other formulas to my mask,” she replied to a fan who called her DIY hair treatment a “game-changer.” The chart-topper continued: “I don’t care much for curl pattern cause my hair don’t really curl I usually braided, so I focus more on growth for mine. For my daughter I focus on growth & moisturizing her curls, so I been mixing ingredients for her.” Not to jump the gun, but it certainly sounds like hair masks are in the works.<\/span><\/p>\n
