April 16, 2021:\u00a0<\/strong>Chrissy Teigen only lasted 21 days away from her Twitter account. Today, Teigen tweeted “turns out it feels TERRIBLE to silence yourself and also no longer enjoy belly chuckles randomly throughout the day and also lose like 2000 friends at once lol.” She followed up her comeback announcement with the declaration she chooses to “take the bad with the good.” Keep reading for the full saga in its entirety.<\/p>\n

Twitter’s <\/span>reigning queen<\/a>, <\/span>Chrissy Teigen<\/a>, had officially quit the social media platform. The 35-year-old, who is renowned for her often-hilarious and <\/span>outspoken posts<\/a> on Twitter, had shut down her account, citing ongoing negativity from fellow users and a “fear of pissing people off”. She took to her account to post a final goodbye to her followers, before closing it not long after.<\/span><\/p>\n

“For over 10 years, you guys have been my world. I honestly owe so much to this world we have created here. I truly consider so many of you my actual friends,” the model wrote.\u00a0“But it’s time for me to say goodbye. This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that’s the right time to call something.”<\/p>\n

Although Teigen had become synonymous for her witty replies to trolls and detractors on Twitter, the Cravings<\/em> author said that upsetting people causes her “pain” and is something she wants to move away from. “I’ve always been portrayed as the strong clap back girl but I’m just not,” she admitted.<\/p>\n
