In exciting news, the film industry is set to be blessed with another female-led and directed film. Nicola Peltz<\/a>, known for Transformers: Age of Extinction<\/em> and Bates Motel,<\/em> is set to write and co-direct alongside Bria Vinaite (The Florida Project<\/em>) for new indie Drama, Lola James<\/em>.<\/p>\n

According to Deadline<\/em><\/a>, the period film will be set in 2002 and tell the story of 19-year-old protagonist, Lola, as she desperately tries to find a way to get her younger brother, Arlo, out of their toxic home situation. At the same time, Lola is fighting a drug addiction. Things take a turn for the worse when a tragic event sets the course of their lives spinning and changes everything.<\/p>\n
