Since relaunching its beauty pillar back in 2019, every Gucci product<\/a> has reverberated through the industry. It started slowly with lipstick<\/a>, before moving to mascara, transparent face gloss<\/a>, brow pencil, pressed powder, bronzer, and now a liquid foundation. Personally, I have been enamored of every launch thus far (sometimes for the packaging alone) but the foundation specifically has been a highlight.<\/p>\n

Let me preface this by saying that while I try new coverage products all the time, there are only a very<\/em> select few I’ve remained loyal to over the years (Nars Sheer Glow, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, and It Cosmetics CC Cream for those curious). I have normal to combination skin, and want my makeup to look glowy but not greasy; natural, but flawless. Enter Gucci Fluide de Beaut\u00e9 Natural Finish Fluid Foundation<\/a>, the lightweight, radiant, long-wearing makeup product of dreams.<\/p>\n

I’ll start with the texture: light, silky, and with a serum-like consistency. Because it’s quite thin, it spreads easily and a little goes a long way, ensuring you don’t end up with a thick, mask-like layer. The coverage is described as “medium” but I would say it’s light to medium but buildable. On application, it’s really luminous, but after a few minutes it seems to settle and melt, resulting in a really healthy-looking radiance that lasts. I’ve worn it countless times since it launched a few months ago, so can attest to the fact that it really does wear well. There’s minimal shine, no oxidation and little to no transfer – not bad for a foundation that feels light and lets the natural skin shine through.<\/p>\n

The last point I’ll touch on is the shade range. Gucci cut no corners, gifting us with 40 shades and various undertones (warm, neutral and cool among them). Like the rest of the brand, it’s inclusive and quirky, flipping the stuffy, outdated notion of beauty on its head.<\/p>\n

In a job that see’s me try on countless makeup products, it takes a lot to leave an impression. But this product has done just that. It’s one that’s sure to see the inside of my makeup bag (and face) for years and years to come.<\/p>\n
