Cold weather has never been kind to my dry skin<\/a>. The winter months are when I buckle down and test the products formulated to hydrate, sans irritants like fragrance, parabens, phthalates. I usually stick to creams, moisture-rich masks<\/a>, and hyaluronic acid serums<\/a>, but I rarely encounter multipurpose formulas gentle enough for the whole body. This thought led me to pick up one of the newest clean skincare brands to cross my work-from-home desk recently: Jones Road<\/a>, the minimalist brainchild of celebrity makeup artist Bobbi Brown. Just four months ago, she debuted the beauty brand with a six-sku makeup range<\/a>, dubbed the “ultimate no-makeup makeup. Her entr\u00e9e into skincare is born to complement the color cosmetics.<\/p>\n

At this time (March 2021), the Jones Road skincare line is comprised of four products: Miracle Cream, Eye Cream, The Oil Stick, and the aptly named Hippie Stick. Brown tells <\/span>GRAZIA\u00a0<\/span><\/em>that the brand will be releasing a new launch “every four to six weeks,” but rest assured, each new addition will have a clear purpose. The products mentioned above were specially formulated to create the perfect canvas for makeup while simultaneously giving skin a much-needed boost of hydration. Looking forward to warmer days spent outside of the house, shoppers can expect “lighter, summer-friendly skincare products.”<\/span><\/p>\n

But while East Coasters like myself are still plugging along in the cold, I can testify that Jones Road skincare undoubtedly hydrates dry skin. The biggest reason I’m devoting a gushy article to it is that, as a beauty editor who tests a million products a year, it stands out. Not for the packaging, which is humbly low-key, but for how innovative and multipurpose it is. The melting, shea butter-infused miracle cream-meets-balm doubles as a formula that I press into my dry cuticles as frequently as my skin (Brown says it was her “savior this winter,” and I second that). The Hippie Stick, featuring a unique push-up mechanism, is a delightful smelling all-over salve that doubles as a godsend for lips, the parched ends of your hair, your elbows\u2014you name it.<\/p>\n

That said, if I had to bequeath just two of the collection’s products to you, it would be the aforementioned Miracle Cream and Hippie Stick. But that’s not to say that the other two products should be ignored, by any means. The eye cream is, simply put, everything you could ask for in a hydrating formula: perfect for applying in the morning under concealer and in the evening alongside your Miracle Cream. Likewise, The Oil Stick is a portable version of the easy-to-spill liquid, perfect for spot-treating extra-dry patches. For me, that’s the area around my nose that’s frustratingly prone to flakiness.<\/p>\n

As I reach the end of this passionate rant, I encourage you to check out the Jones Road skincare reviews, which are equally flattering. Likewise, Brown’s received positive responses, too. “People have said everything from ‘I can’t believe I lived without this’ to ‘I’ll never buy anything else again,’ she tells me via email.”It all warms my heart. I’m just so thrilled people love the products as much as I do. There’s nothing better than actually feeling good about what you’re putting on your face.”<\/p>\n
