Michelle Obama<\/a> just insists on going high,<\/a> especially when they go low. The \u2018they\u2019 in this instance, isn\u2019t Donald Trump or his MAGA-enthusiasts<\/a> spouting racist rhetoric<\/a> at our former first lady and her family, but Queen Elizabeth\u2019s brood<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, <\/span>People<\/span><\/i> reported<\/span><\/a> Obama shared her thoughts on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry\u2019s painfully revealing sit-down<\/a> with Oprah Winfrey on Access Hollywood<\/em><\/a>. “My hope is that, when I think about what they’re going through, I think about the importance of family and I just pray that there is forgiveness and there is clarity and love and resolve at some point in time,” Obama, 57, said. “Because there’s nothing more important than family.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that there were \u201cconcerns and conversations\u201d about how dark their son, Archie\u2019s, skin would be when he was born, how Markle felt so unsupported within the family\u2019s institution she became suicidal, and that it was her sister-in-law Kate Middleton who made her<\/em> cry \u2014 and not the other way around, as it was reported. The couple also revealed they exchanged vows three days before their official ceremony.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I was thinking about it, you know our wedding\u2014three days before our wedding, we got married,\u201d Markle told Oprah. \u201cNo one knows that. We called the Archbishop and we just said, look, this thing, this spectacle is for the world. But we want our union between us, so the vows that we have framed in our room are just the two of us in our backyard with the Archbishop of Canterbury.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Though both Barack and Michelle Obama seemed to be incredibly close to Prince Harry, they were not invited to the royal wedding in 2018. Because Harry isn’t a future king like his brother Prince William is, “official guests” such as heads of state were not
