At the apex of a highly-politicized Grammys ceremony, the \u201ceverything i wanted\u201d singer paid tribute to fellow nominee <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/reactions-cardi-b-megan-thee-stallion-perform-wap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Megan Thee Stallion<\/a> in her acceptance speech.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is really embarrassing for me,\u201d Eilish said as she took to the stage with brother and producer, Finneas, by her side.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMegan, girl, I was gonna write a speech about how you deserve this but then I was like there\u2019s no way they\u2019re gonna choose me,\u201d she laughed. \u201cI was like, \u2018it\u2019s hers.\u2019 You deserve this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Billie Eilish Wins Record Of The Year | 2021 GRAMMY Awards Show Acceptance Speech\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-HiTK1_yp3M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>She then went on to honor Stallion, who won Best New Artist on the night. And honestly, was it any surprise after a massive year for the &#8220;Savage&#8221; artist?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou had a year that I think is un-toppable,&#8221; Eilish continued. &#8220;You are a queen. I want to cry thinking about how much I love you. You are so beautiful, you\u2019re so talented. You deserve everything in the world. I think about you constantly. I root for you always. You deserve it, honestly. Genuinely, this goes to her. Using her platform to hand recognition to other artists and quietly call out the Academy is a testament to Eilish\u2019s class, both on and off stage.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t the first year the Recording Academy has come under scrutiny for its selection process. Amid this year\u2019s boycotts was Zayn Malik, who called out the Academy in front of his Twitter audience of 30.7 million.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Fuck the grammys and everyone associated.
