Spring, it seems, has suddenly sprung here on the East coast. The sun is out, snowdrops have blossomed, coats<\/a> are coming off (though, of course, masks are staying on), and one age-old question continues to send even the best dressed among us into a tailspin: Just what to wear in this in-between season? Enter Skall Studio<\/a>, whose dreamy, go-with-anything dresses have been a favorite of the Scandinavian style set since the Copenhagen-based label’s launch seven years ago.<\/p>\n

“At the time, nobody was talking about sustainability and we were a little fed up,” says Marie Skall, a Central Saint Martins graduate. In 2014, after returning from India where she adopted a plant-based lifestyle, she launched her namesake line with her sister, Julie. (“Skall” means seashell in Danish.) Since then, the duo, who grew up in a small town in the coastal area of Denmark’s North Jutland, has married natural materials, such as organic cotton, linen, and wool with timeless design\u2014an eco-chic<\/a> approach that stands apart in the City of Spires’ sea of playful patterned dresses and over-the-top outerwear.<\/p>\n
