Just as we came to learn of Marilyn Monroe<\/a>‘s own struggles within the entertainment industry, it appears playing the blonde bombshell today isn’t that glamorous either. In an interview with Byrdie<\/em><\/a>, Ana de Armas<\/a> who is set to portray the 1950s actress in the Netflix<\/a> biopic, Blonde,\u00a0<\/em>has revealed the lengths it took to emulate Monroe.<\/p>\n

“I had to go bald every day, because with the blonde wigs\u2026 [Marilyn] went through different shades of blonde from golden to really platinum, so for these wigs that are beautifully made, you can’t have anything dark underneath, so we had to make a bald cap every single day from my forehead to [around] my whole head,” she explained to the publication.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old posted a selfie to Instagram wearing the aforementioned bald cap 18 months ago.<\/p>\n
