How do we liven up our wardrobes? That’s the sartorial question on every one’s minds as of late, as the thrill of wearing sweatsuits 24\/7 has gradually worn off. Rainey Qualley, for one, has found her answer in a new pair of sneakers-meet-combat boots from Roger Vivier. “I love that they feel casual and easy-to-wear, but they\u2019ve still got a little touch of princess,” the 30-year-old singer, known as Rainsford, tells Grazia\u00a0<\/em>of the Parisian label’s new Walky Viv shoes. In a nod to Roger Vivier’s iconic square buckle (which, over the years, has been seen on everyone from Queen Elizabeth II to Catherine Deneuve and Brigitte Bardot<\/a>), creative director Gherardo Felloni topped off each of the style’s three go-with-anything colors with oversized crystals in the shape of a box.<\/p>\n

These days, as we continue to social distance and stay at home, Qualley says that she has taken to wearing the sparkly slip-ons with her uniform of a tank top and soft loungewear, but, she adds, “They\u2019re also really cute to wear with something more dressy to keep the look a bit more casual.” For proof, just look to the just-released campaign, which sees Qualley play dress up at San Luis Obispo’s landmark Madonna Inn. In the Britt Lucas-lensed images, she wears glittery latex and a gingham cowgirl get-up with a black patent leather version. A feather-accented strapless number, meanwhile, pairs perfectly with a bone white recycled canvas take<\/a>, which, in an exciting development for the 84-year-old brand, marks Roger Vivier’s first foray into sustainability. For Qualley, the shoot was a reminder of the good things to come post-pandemic: “I\u2019ll never complain about feeling obligated to attend a party again after this experience!”\u2014especially when it means a chance to wear the collection’s army green stompers out for a night on the town.<\/p>\n
