FKA Twigs<\/a> has opened up further about the harrowing abuse<\/a> she says she suffered at the hands of ex-boyfriend, Shia LeBeouf<\/a>. The singer, who was born Tahliah Debrett Barnett, said in a recent interview<\/a> that the relationship left her afraid for her safety and that “it’s a miracle I came out alive.” While LaBeouf denies all allegations, Barnett claims he used \u201ccalculated, systematic, tricky, and mazelike\u201d tactics to control every area of her life.<\/p>\n

Among the verbal and emotional abuse Barnett says she experienced, she also claims that the Transformers<\/em> star subjected her to sleep deprivation, as well as sexual battery and physical assault. “If you put a frog in a boiling pot of water, that frog is going to jump out straightaway,\u201d she said in the new interview. \u201cWhereas if you put a frog in cool water and heat it up slowly, that frog is going to boil to death. That was my experience being with [LaBeouf].\u201d<\/p>\n

Barnett, who has filed a civil suit against the actor, sat down with Gayle King for This Morning\u00a0<\/em>to share further details about what she went through. \u201cHe would often just start having an argument with me in the middle of the night, start accusing me of doing all sorts of things, planning to leave him in my head,\u201d she told King. \u201cHe\u2019d wake me up, tell me I was disgusting, that I was vile.\u201d<\/p>\n
