As a news outlet reported over the weekend, there’s only two things the world is talking about right now: Coronavirus and ‘Tiger King.’ Yes, as if a perfectly timed reprieve from the madness and sadness of the current state of the world, Netflix aired a docuseries so outrageous, so unbelievably wild (pardon the pun), so strangely compelling, it proved the ultimate distraction from the pandemic that is.<\/p>\n

While the series charts the dethroning of former zookeeper and self-proclaimed “Tiger King,” Joe Exotic, it is the wardrobe and home of arch-nemesis Carole Baskin which left us completely floored (amid everything else – allegations of chopped up ex-husbands fed to tigers, foiled murder plots, a gay-but-not-really-gay love triangle incentivized by meth).<\/p>\n

While Exotic too indulged some sartorial zingers, Baskin’s animal print-only wardrobe and home is quite simply something else. Every pocket of the home she shares with third husband Howard Baskin is laden in leopard, cheetah or tiger of some form. Vases, towels, luggage, longes, teacups, tablecloths, bedspreads sit alongside a wardrobe exclusively made up of feline print.<\/p>\n

A, er, very blatant homage to Big Cat Rescue, of which she is the founder, Baskin’s almost exclusive big cat wardrobe (particularly that unforgettable leopard fur hat) has inspired us to tap our fashion instincts with a dedicated feline edit.<\/p>\n

We can definitely see Carole Baskin in Zimmermann’s searing pink leopard shirt, for example. Or perhaps in head-to-toe Ganni leopard, of which there is plenty (including a super cute scrunchie below). But we definitely think the pi\u00e8ce de r\u00e9sistance in Carole and Howard’s home would be this magnificently rapacious Gucci Tiger Cushion. Can’t you just imagine it? REOW<\/em>.<\/p>\n
