Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have been in the headlines a lot recently – and not for the usual happy couple moments we know them for.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cracks in the seemingly perfect relationship began\u00a0when reality TV contestant, Madison LeCroy from Bravo show, Southern Charm<\/em>, was accused by one of her co-stars of messaging and video calling a famous former major league baseball player.\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

LeCroy then confirmed<\/a> that she had indeed been speaking to Rodriguez, but admitted they\u2019d \u201cnever met up.\u201d<\/span> She said<\/a> the pair have \u201cspoken on the phone.\u201d But have \u201cnever been physical.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, in a new interview<\/a>,<\/span> which was likely conducted prior to these accusations becoming public, Lopez revealed she and her fianc\u00e9 attended couples therapy at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. When lockdown was first implemented in the U.S., the singer said the pair, who started dating in 2017, opted to see a professional, something they were able to do thanks to travel restrictions putting work commitments on hold.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We got to work on ourselves,” Lopez says. “We did therapy. I think it was really helpful for us in our relationship.”<\/span><\/p>\n

As for how she\u2019s been handling the pandemic, Lopez who always seems to be moving at a million miles per hour, says, “I miss being creative and running on 150. But Alex, of all people, was like, ‘I love it. I love being at home. I love doing my Zooms. I love knowing the kids are there, and you’re there all the time.’ It has been actually really good.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Lopez says both she and Rodriguez were disappointed in having to cancel their planned wedding ceremony last summer, which was to take place overseas, but she says she\u2019s since realized that everything happens for a reason. <\/span><\/p>\n

“It was a big deal,\u201d Lopez says. \u201cWe had been planning for months and months and months, and it was overseas.” <\/span><\/p>\n

“Maybe that wasn’t the right time,” she continues. “You start thinking of all of these things\u2014 how everything has its kind of perfect, divine moment.”<\/span><\/p>\n
