New Yorkers are notorious for being tough<\/a>, especially when it comes to adapting to things they\u2019re not used to. Nothing shakes us, usually. But it seems, over the past few years, we\u2019ve become soft when it comes to the wintry weather. Sure, we\u2019ve had to suffer through the occasional polar vortex day here and there \u2013 and maybe a sporadic dusting of snow \u2013 but generally speaking, we\u2019ve become accustomed to milder and drier winters.<\/span><\/p>\n

But if 2020 taught us anything, it\u2019s to expect the unexpected, and this winter has certainly come as a shock. Major snowstorms<\/a> have become commonplace and although we are lucky enough to avoid that frigid and sludgy commute to work at the moment, we are still spending more time outside\u00a0dining in the freezing cold temps. <\/span><\/p>\n

When Tommy Hilfiger shipped truckloads of artificial snow into Park Armory for his apr\u00e8s-ski-themed Fall 2014 show, it seemed he was building the winter scape we are experiencing now.
