News to few, model Emily Ratajkowski<\/a> is\u00a0<\/span>expecting her first child<\/span><\/a> with husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard. The 29-year-old announced her pregnancy to her 27.1 million followers this past October with a maternity shoot and an accompanying essay she penned on gender identity. When asked about the gender of their child, she writes, “We like to respond that we won’t know the gender until our child is 18 and that they’ll let us know then.”<\/span><\/p>\n

In the same way that the London native confidently shares her views on gender identity, she’s also transparent about the beautiful, confusing, and complicated journey that is pregnancy. In a recent video filmed by Tom Newton with luxury French haircare brand, K\u00e9rastase, Ratajkowski opened up about what she’s learned about motherhood so far\u2014and what fears still keep her up at night.<\/span><\/p>\n
