Just last month, Joshua Jackson told Good Morning in the US that he and pregnant partner Jodie Turner-Smith felt nervous. \u201cObviously, it\u2019s a bit stressful right now and we\u2019re just trying to figure out how to be smart about being quarantined,\u201d he said. \u201cThe medical system right now is a little bit difficult, so we\u2019re figuring it out day by day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never been a parent before, so I\u2019m not quite sure how much of this is just first-baby anxiety and how much of this is pandemic anxiety,\u201d the Little Fires Everywhere<\/em> actor continued.<\/p>\n

Just a couple of hours ago, the LA-based couple announced, via a representative, that they have welcomed their first child into the world. Although they didn\u2019t reveal the gender, Turner-Smith set off speculation it was a girl after posting an Instagram video last month using the female pronoun. \u201cCan you see her dancing in there? Every time I try to record she stops,\u201d she said in a video of her stomach.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe couple has welcomed their first child. Both mother and baby are happy and healthy,\u201d a rep for the couple told Page Six.<\/p>\n

Reports of the couple\u2019s pregnancy coincides with a rumor they secretly tied the knot in December 2019. \u201cI haven\u2019t said to anybody, \u2018Yeah, we got married,\u2019\u201d Turner-Smith told an outlet a month later when prodded about her and Jackson\u2019s marriage status. \u201cPeople are assuming whatever they want, but when people tell me \u2018Congratulations,\u2019 I say, \u2018Thank you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

While the couple are painfully private, Jackson did talk a little about the moment he found out he\u2019d be a dad. \u201cWe found out together. We kind of had an inkling. Cycles change. This was literally the most joyous moment of my life. She was working out of town and I asked her to hold off a couple days before taking a test so we could do it together.\u201d<\/p>\n
