Friday nights with friends. Birthday celebrations. The roar of a stadium. Mornings at the gym. Packed dance floors. Coffee with a friend. Crowded concerts. Happy hours.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, while there\u2019s beauty to be found in the pause \u2013 it\u2019s alright to admit that it also sucks. And this story is not to diminish what some people have had to endure. There\u2019s still so much uncertainty around when we will finally be allowed back into the world again, but gosh we\u2019ve dreamed of what we will do when we are. How we will soak up the sheer elation of being around our friends. How we will travel. How we will visit every bar in town. And if you\u2019re a member of the GRAZIA team, how we will dance.<\/p>\n<p>Each of us has chosen a film scene that best represents how we imagine the moment the rules are relaxed and we emerge from our dwellings. For me, it will mean flying home to New York City, getting all dressed up (the dress is metallic and mini), booking a table at Carbone and cheers-ing a round of champagnes with my best friends. Specifically like this <em>Sex And The City<\/em> movie scene below. (Note: New York doesn\u2019t look like it\u2019s going to repair anytime soon so I\u2019ll probably actually be 50, like Samantha, by the time I get back there. We&#8217;ve got big plans to dress up, drink dhampagne, enjoy a long dinner before Karaoke once this is all over. The perfect night out. Small parties, there isn\u2019t any privacy,\u201d says Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby, and I would have to agree, if only for the sake of the end of isolation. At the beginning of the decade, this is how we imagined the modern \u2018roaring 20s\u2019 and I hope to emulate a glamorous night of dancing &#8211; a dry martini in-hand\u00a0 &#8211; just as they did after the Spanish Flu. I spent the rest of my quarantine in Sydney\u2019s outer suburbs with my family, eating Serbian delights, exercising with makeshift equipment and talking to my cat much more than I usually do. I remember after a long day of designing and zoom calls, I crawled in bed and told her that \u201ctoday was productive&#8230;&#8221; Day 1 post quarantine, I\u2019ll be picking up right where I left off with the people that I want to see the most \u2013 reclaiming our spot on Bronte beach, going back to hard and fast circuit workouts and long wine catch-ups.
