The timing of Taylor Swift\u2019s outbursts have never been great. Here we go again\u2026<\/p>\n

Swift has slammed her former label\u2019s alleged plans to release an album of her live performances as \u201ctasteless.\u201d On Friday morning, the \u201cLover\u201d singer posted an Instagram story reigniting her feud with Big Machine Records who reportedly intend to release a collection of tracks today.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank my fans for making me aware that my former record label is putting out an ‘album’ of live performances of mine tonight,\u201d her message began. \u201cThis recording is from a 2008 radio show performance I did when I was 18.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old said the label is making out as though she recorded the performances in 2017. \u201cI’m always honest with you guys about this stuff so I just wanted to tell you that this release is not approved by me,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt looks to me like [label owner] Scooter Braun and his financial backers, 23 Capital, Alex Soros and the Soros family and The Carlyle Group have seen the latest balance sheets and realized that paying $330 million for my music wasn’t exactly a wise choice and they need money.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my opinion… just another case of shameless greed in the time of Coronavirus. So tasteless, but very transparent.\u201d<\/p>\n

Braun etc. purchased the label \u2013 that included the masters to Swift\u2019s catalogue \u2013 for $300 million, according to Billboard<\/em>. Swift then claimed the label was attempting to block her from performing her own music at 2019\u2019s American Music Awards (where she was set to receive Artist Of The Decade) and use her own music in the critically acclaimed Netflix documentary Miss Americana.<\/em><\/p>\n

While I’m all for calling out unkind, dishonest people, sometimes it’s really not the time. The world is crumbling.<\/p>\n
