PARIS, FRANCE – MARCH 07: (L-R) Jackie Apostel and Cruz Beckham are seen on March 07, 2025 in Paris, France. (Photo by Marc Piasecki/GC Images)

If adopting a dog is the millennial version of moving in together, then Cruz Beckham and Jackie Apostel just took a very major step. Victoria and David Beckham’s youngest son debuted a new leading lady in his life – and she is small, cream-colored, and already sleeping on the good sheets.

The 21-year-old musician soft-launched his new puppy, Sandy Jean Beckham, on October 4 on Instagram photo.

A Cozy First Look At Cruz And Jackie’s New Puppy Sandy Jean

Cruz lies shirtless on a white duvet, stretched out on his stomach, nose-to-nose with Sandy, who looks like a tiny cream-colored Golden Retriever puppy. Jackie, 30, leans in from the side in a white tank top, Rhode Peptide Eye Prep patches parked under her eyes, one hand showing off a dainty pavé heart ring as she snaps the candid.

The vibe is very Sunday-morning-after-a-late-gig: soft lighting, messy bedding, and a brand-new dog immediately promoted to middle-of-the-bed status. Sandy is introduced to the world as “Sandy Jean Beckham,” a full triple-barrel name that makes it clear this is not just a pet, she is a person of interest within the Beckham universe.

Cruz and Jackie let Sandy’s own Instagram presence do some of the talking. Within a day, the puppy’s account pulled in more than 2000 followers, fueled by Stories of her napping in every conceivable position. One caption read “Big day of snoozes,” another added that she “loves a nap,” because even Beckham dogs have a brand.

Across the posts, Sandy appears draped over Cruz’s legs, tucked into Jackie’s arm, and flopped on various soft surfaces like a tiny cream throw pillow with paws. It is domestic, unfiltered, and a deliberate contrast to the highly produced Beckham family campaigns we usually see.

Sandy Jean Beckham Joins The Wider Beckham Clan

Almost immediately, Sandy was folded into the rest of the family content. In one photo, David stands with his back to the camera, holding the puppy against his shoulder while she peers over, ears slightly askew. “Grandad is gonna teach me how to bend it like sandy ;),” the caption jokes, upgrading the iconic phrase to the canine generation.

The dog also logged quality time with Cruz’s little sister Harper, 15. Another snap shows the bottom of Harper’s long blonde hair as she cradles a slightly overwhelmed-looking Sandy. “Auntie Harper has taken me for a stroll x i peed everywhere,” the caption confesses, because even in a family with multiple multimillion-dollar brands, you cannot glamorize house-training.

Inside Cruz Beckham And Jackie Apostel’s Love Story

Cruz and Jackie’s decision to co-parent a puppy comes after a two-year slow burn. The pair first met in a songwriting session, bonding over late nights in the studio long before tabloids spotted them. Romance rumors sparked at Glastonbury 2024, when the then-teen singer and the slightly older songwriter were photographed together backstage.

Since then, Jackie has become a constant presence in Cruz’s musical life, from low-key London gigs with his band The Breakers to more polished performances. She even joined him for a duet of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’s “Islands in the Stream” at a party last year, the kind of karaoke flex you only attempt when you know the harmony is safe.

Their nine-year age gap has attracted the usual online commentary, which Jackie addressed in a relaxed Instagram Q&A, essentially saying that what matters is how kind, grounded, and driven Cruz is. No drama, just a reminder that she met him in a professional context first, and that they share the same work-first mentality.

Cruz has been open about how much Jackie has shaped this phase of his career. He fronts The Breakers and released his EP Wear & Tear, crediting her encouragement with helping him feel ready for touring and for stepping out from under the family surname as “just” another Beckham.

Victoria has also been back in the studio with her youngest, as seen in recent photos of the designer in headphones beside Cruz at a mixing desk. It is not hard to imagine Sandy Jean asleep under a console while a former Spice Girl, her musician son, and his songwriter girlfriend argue about snare levels.

[23,16

David Beckham Just Became a "Grandad" As Cruz Beckham and Jackie Apostel Welcome a New Addition to the Family — and David’s Reaction Is Adorable - Grazia USA

<meta property="og:title" content="David Beckham Just Became a "Grandad" As Cruz Beckham and Jackie Apostel Welcome a New Addition to the Family — and David’s Reaction Is Adorable" />
<meta property="og:description" content="If adopting a dog is the millennial version of moving in together, then Cruz Beckham and Jackie Apostel just took a very major step.
