There was a time when Chelsy Davy<\/strong> was one of the most photographed women in Britain, followed from nightclubs to polo matches simply because the man beside her happened to be Prince Harry<\/strong>. Nearly two decades later, her Instagram looks very different.<\/p>\n

Davy, who dated the Duke of Sussex on and off from 2004 to 2011, has built an extraordinarily private life since stepping away from the royal orbit. Now 40, she is married to hotelier Sam Cutmore-Scott<\/strong>, a mother of three, and increasingly based in Mauritius<\/strong>, where turquoise water and barefoot beach days have replaced the paparazzi-packed London years of her twenties.<\/p>\n

A recent Instagram post offered another rare glimpse into that world, and it is difficult not to notice just how far removed it feels from the life Davy might once have had.<\/p>\n

Chelsy Davy\u2019s Very Different Life After Prince Harry<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The 40-year-old jewelry designer has offered a particularly intimate glimpse inside her family life in Mauritius<\/strong>, sharing a beautiful series of photographs taken on the beach with her husband, Sam Cutmore-Scott<\/strong>, and their children.<\/p>\n

The dreamy carousel feels more like pages pulled from a family photo album than a celebrity Instagram post. In one image, Davy and Cutmore-Scott walk barefoot along the sand as their children run ahead of them. Another captures Davy lifting her young daughter into the air, while a close-up shows mother and child laughing together. Baby Finn<\/strong>, whom Davy welcomed in March 2026, also makes an appearance, smiling as his mother holds him above her against the sky.<\/p>\n

It is a rare look at a family Davy has largely kept away from public view \u2014 and at the very different life she has built since her years as one of Britain’s most famous royal girlfriends.<\/p>\n

Why Chelsy Davy Walked Away From Royal Life<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Davy and Harry met in the early 2000s and spent around seven years in an on-again, off-again relationship. She attended major royal occasions, including Prince William and Kate Middleton\u2019s 2011 wedding<\/strong>, but the intense public scrutiny surrounding the relationship was reportedly difficult for her.<\/p>\n

Royal biographer Robert Lacey<\/strong> later wrote in Battle of Brothers<\/em> that Davy realized she could not make the same sacrifices Kate had made to live permanently within the royal world.<\/p>\n

Harry himself has also spoken about the pressure she faced. In his memoir Spare<\/em>, the Duke of Sussex described how photographers pursued Davy and detailed the strain media attention placed on their relationship.<\/p>\n

Their romantic story eventually ended, but the pair appeared to remain on friendly terms: Davy was among the guests at Harry and Meghan Markle\u2019s<\/strong> 2018 wedding at St. George\u2019s Chapel.<\/p>\n

From Lawyer to Jewelry Designer<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Davy initially pursued a very different career, studying law and working as an attorney before launching her jewelry company, Aya<\/strong>, in 2016.<\/p>\n

Motherhood and entrepreneurship now appear to occupy much of her life. In another recent glimpse into her routine in Mauritius, Davy showed mornings beginning around 6 a.m. with a beach walk, followed by breakfast and school for the children before turning her attention to photo shoots and work for Aya. Afternoons often end back at the beach with the family.<\/p>\n

It is an existence almost unrecognizable from the tabloid frenzy that once surrounded her \u2014 and perhaps that is exactly the point.
