UPDATE: You guys are loving Gigi Hadid\u2019s Spicy Vodka Pasta recipe. And yes, the model has since confirmed she is pregnant<\/a> with her first child.<\/p>\n

ORIGINAL STORY: In a thinly-veiled attempt to deflect from the\u00a0news she is pregnant with her first child<\/a>, Hadid posted an Instagram Story of herself cooking Spicy Vodka Pasta.<\/p>\n

The first Story has a caption explaining that the 25-year-old model doesn\u2019t have any vodka so she\u2019ll go without. Is this a possible clue that perhaps she is indeed pregnant and is avoiding alcohol? Or have the Hadids actually just run out of the good stuff? (There also seems to be a lot of trading ingredients. Either the Hadids have not been grocery shopping in ages or the model is suffering from weird food cravings.)<\/p>\n

(Another side note: Hadid\u2019s father Mohamed was asked straight out about his daughter\u2019s pregnancy news and he didn\u2019t seem to know a thing about it. You can read about that here<\/a>. At this link, you\u2019ll also find another little conspiracy pocket where eagle-eyed fans have noticed Hadid\u2019s 25th<\/sup> birthday balloons at the weekend had both blue and pink strings, making some people believe the celebration could have doubled as a gender reveal party.)<\/p>\n

But back to the recipe because I would actually like to make this Spicy Vodka Pasta recipe tonight \u2013 with<\/em> vodka. I\u2019ve edited Hadid\u2019s instructions and method below and included her video. I would also add more than 1 tablespoon of vodka. Times are tough.<\/p>\n

GIGI HADID\u2019S SPICY VODKA PASTA<\/h5>\n

Makes 2<\/em><\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00bc cup olive oil<\/p>\n

1 small clove of garlic, diced<\/p>\n

\u00bc green onion<\/p>\n

\u00bc cup tomato paste<\/p>\n

\u00bd cup heavy cream<\/p>\n

1 tablespoon vodka<\/p>\n

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes<\/p>\n

225 grams of shells pasta<\/p>\n

1 tablespoon butter<\/p>\n

\u00bc cup Parmesan cheese<\/p>\n

Basil, chopped, to serve<\/p>\n

Salt and pepper to taste<\/p>\n

Method:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil, garlic and onion. Cook until soft. Add tomato paste and cook until it appears \u201cdarker [in color] \/ a bit caramelized\u201d. Add in the heavy cream. Add vodka and cook through until evaporated. Add in the red pepper flakes. [There is a special note from the chef here to add in more flakes if you like it extra spicy].<\/p>\n

Keep stirring until combined. Season with salt and pepper. Remove sauce from the heat.<\/p>\n

Cook pasta separately. The chef uses shells but orecchiette would also work well. When the pasta is done, save \u00bc cup of the pasta water before draining. Add in the butter. Stir over a medium heat til the butter has melted and the sauce is \u201csauccyyyy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Add pasta \u2013 and the pasta water \u2013 to the sauce. Add Parmesan cheese and stir. Add more salt and pepper to taste. Top with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese and basil to serve.<\/p>\n

And that, my friends, is Gigi Hadid\u2019s Spicy Vodka Pasta.<\/p>\n
