But fast-forward 12 years and Paltrow has created an empire estimated to be worth a staggering $250 million. Whether Yoni eggs and energy healing are your thing or not, there’s no denying there’s a market for what Paltrow is selling.<\/p>\n In fact, it turns out that the most outrageous of Paltrow’s products are created with a very specific purpose in mind, and one we can most definitely get behind. When she releases a Netflix special with an episode showing a woman masturbating on camera or candles emblazoned with the slogans \u2018This smells like my vagina\u2019 and \u2018This smells like my orgasm,\u2019 she\u2019s shocking people, making money (both candles instantly sold out) and, in her words, contributing to the \u201ccrumbling patriarchy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking to <\/span>ELLE<\/span><\/i> recently, Paltrow likened her cause to that of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, saying that she wants her next signature candle to read, “This smells like my WAP,” in tribute to the pair’s hit song, WAP. The actress then went on to speak about the criticism the song received and the ongoing criticism she faces whenever she speaks in detail about sex or female pleasure in her work for Goop. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYou have to push, you have to go too far. You have to have a WAP song or a “Smells Like My Vagina” candle. So people are like, what is this? And they freak out,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd then the center moves a little bit more this way. It’s a process that happens over time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n
