If you’ve suddenly felt impelled to buy old Chicago Bulls merch, or desperately locate a pair of OG Air Jordans, you’re not alone. The addictive ESPN \/ Netflix docuseries, ‘The Last Dance,’ is single-handedly giving rise to the basketball merchandise of old, feeding the need to all of sudden don a vintage Bulls tee, or layer a #23 jersey over a white muscle tee, for example.<\/p>\n

While the series explores basketball’s golden era – and one of the most successful NBA franchises of all time – the fashion of its golden boys is also coming to the fore, with vintage Bulls merch and Air Jordans running hot on the big wide web. Lyst reports that since ‘The Last Dance’ aired, searches for Nike\u2019s Jordan 1 have been increasing \u2013 up 23% week-on-week. Inspired by the documentary, shoppers are also looking for basketball shorts (+12%) and tank tops (+20%)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Indeed, we all want the swagger of MJ<\/a>, the sartorial nonconformity of Dennis, the understated charm of Scottie, the eccentricity of Horace (and more importantly, those goggles). We all want those retro Championship tees, the ’92 Olympics “Dream Team” tops, the limited-edition caps, the oversized sweaters. Right now, we want a little piece of it all; that glorious golden age where urban culture met sports in the most seductive of ways. We want in on the dynasty.<\/p>\n

One such fan who also wants in is Cindy Crawford. The series has even promoted the eternal Super to don a Bulls jersey personally gifted to her by Bulls bad boy – and one of biggest style mavens of all time – Dennis Rodman, plus a pair of Jordans. Taking flight in that iconic mid-air MJ pose, Crawford’s attempt is actually rather breathtaking.<\/p>\n

“This is what happens when you take a girl from Illinois and put her in Jordans and a jersey that @DennisRodman gave her back in the 90s!” she captioned the image on Instagram. “Getting ready to watch #TheLastDance tonight on @espn (and @netflix outside the US).
