Ben Affleck and actress Ana de Armas may have broken up<\/a> after nearly a year together, but it sounds like the Oscar winner still has one person in his corner: his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.,<\/p>\n

“Ana dumped Ben. Ben fell hard and fast and was sure Ana was the one. He even repeated a move he made when dating Jennifer Lopez \u2014 appearing in a music video with Ana, which was part of the problem,” a source exclusively told OK!<\/em><\/a>. “Ben loves being famous. Growing up, all he ever wanted to be was a celebrity. Ana is more private<\/a> and sees herself as an actress \u2014 not a Kardashian who reveals everything about her private life. Ben is heartbroken, and, once again, Jennifer Garner is picking up the pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n

But fans hoping for a romantic reconciliation between the former costars shouldn’t hold their collective breath. That ship is said to have sailed long ago, at least for the 48-year-old actress.<\/p>\n

\u201cJen doesn\u2019t want to get back with Ben, but she does love him. He doesn\u2019t have many friends and she feels like it is her role to help. Jen liked Ana and hoped Ben had finally found someone who could deal with him. He isn\u2019t easy,\u201d adds a pal. \u201cJen supports his sobriety and will do anything to help Ben stay on track.”<\/p>\n

The Argo<\/em> director began dating Garner in 2004, having established a friendship on the sets of the 2001 film, Pearl Harbor,<\/em> and the 2003 Daredevil.<\/em> They split in 2015 after 10 years of marriage and officially divorced in 2018.<\/p>\n

Even after they went their separate ways, Garner remained supportive of her ex- husband, particularly when he struggled with sobriety. After recovering from a relapse in 2019, the Justice League<\/em> star even released a public thank you to his ex- wife for helping him through it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I want to say publicly and privately is, thank you. Thank you for being thoughtful, considerate, responsible, and a great mom and person,” it read.<\/p>\n

Affleck, who once called divorce<\/a> his “biggest regret of my life,” also admitted on the Today Show<\/em>, that he still loves his ex-wife and hopes he is a good dad to his kids.<\/p>\n

“Somebody\u2019s the mother of your kids, they\u2019re going to be the most important, central person in your life, and that\u2019s good,\u2019 he said. “I certainly try very hard. I\u2019m lucky they\u2019ve got a great mom, and she helps out a great deal with making sure that we co-parent in as good a way as
