After a tumultuous six months wherein she was canceled for likening being locked down in her Los Angeles mansion to that of prison and for allegedly fostering a toxic workplace environment<\/a>, it looks like Ellen DeGeneres has gotten her stride back.<\/span><\/p>\n

The talk show host, who used to rely on her \u2018nice guy\u2019 persona, had that shattered<\/a> when allegations of sexual misconduct, racism, and workplace bullying began being shared online by current and former employees in late 2020. But now, with help from some of her famous friends, it\u2019s clear that the 62-year-old isn\u2019t going anywhere anytime soon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In fact, proving how much of a hold she still has over the entertainment industry, DeGeneres was the place where Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel chose to confirm that they\u2019ve given birth to their second child. Instead of announcing the news themselves, via social media or through a press release, Timberlake opted to share not only his son\u2019s arrival, but also his name, with DeGeneres during an upcoming Zoom interview on<\/span> The Ellen DeGeneres Show.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

In a preview clip, the 39-year-old pop star confirmed he and Biel added a second son to the fold in 2020, as had been rumored after Timberlake\u2019s former NSYNC band mate spilled the news in July. The notoriously private couple, who married in 2012 and share five-year-old son Silas, had not revealed they were expecting.<\/span><\/p>\n

“His name is Phineas, and he’s awesome and so cute, and nobody’s sleeping,” Timberlake told DeGeneres. “But we’re thrilled. We’re thrilled and couldn’t be happier. Very grateful.”<\/span><\/p>\n

When DeGeneres asked how different it is to be parenting two children instead of just one, Timberlake joked, “We don’t see each other anymore,” before adding, “It’s a lot of fun, but I guess the saying goes, you go from a zone defense to a man-to-man really quickly. Sort of like, ‘You go get that one, I’ll get this one!'”<\/span><\/p>\n

The family’s happy news comes after Timberlake was spotted drunkenly holding hands with his co-star Alisha Wainwright<\/a> during a night out. At the time, Biel would have been secretly pregnant<\/a> with the couple’s second child. Timberlake then released a public apology to his wife<\/a>, writing, “I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family, I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love. A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgement \u2013 but let me be clear \u2013 nothing happened between me and my co-star. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior.
