Three outfit changes in a single day might sound excessive to most people, but for Tessa Thompson, it\u2019s just a Tuesday. While promoting her new film Hedda<\/em> in New York, the actor proved once again that she has achieved a particular strain of fashion magic: making unorthodox styling look effortless and masterfully deliberate.<\/p>\n

Her first stop of the day was a study in offbeat prep. Wearing Commission\u2019s<\/a> Spring 2026 collection, Thompson paired a striped rugby shirt with a check grey skirt piped in white, topped with a leather moto coat that blended collegiate polish with street-style edge.<\/p>\n

The look was finished with a Birkin<\/a> adorned with gold bag charms and a pair of pointed-toe kitten heels in a dark burgundy-brown.<\/p>\n

Next came a burst of theatrical colour play courtesy of Tory Burch<\/a>\u2019s Spring 2026 collection. Thompson wore a bright red leather midi skirt slung low on her hips with a belt, and a beige knit top that tricked the eye with a double-stacked collar designed to look like multiple layers. Her elongated burgundy pumps with gold detailing sealed the deal.<\/p>\n

By evening, Thompson switched gears entirely, stepping out in head-to-toe red satin from Willy Chavarria<\/a>. The sharp tailoring, the gleam of the fabric, the insouciant ease with which she wore it\u2014it all cut a truly chic figure.<\/p>\n

Just days earlier at the Academy Museum Gala<\/a>, she\u2019d appeared in a bright yellow sculptural dress from Balenciaga<\/a>\u2019s Spring\/Summer 2026 collection, the first under Pierpaolo Piccioli<\/a>. Styled by Karla Welch<\/a>, the look was inarguably one of the best of the evening.<\/p>\n
