Even by celebrity standards, this coupling feels like a fever dream. But just days after their public debut, where they were photographed walking hand in hand leaving the Crazy Horse cabaret, People<\/em><\/a> magazine has confirmed that Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau<\/a> are, in fact, officially a couple.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an unexpected pairing, yes\u2014the pop star\/one-time astronaut and the former Canadian president\u2014but somehow it makes about as much sense as anything else in today’s headlines. According to sources, the relationship is already \u201cfairly serious,\u201d despite the two having very different and busy schedules.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s made a real effort to meet her where she is\u2014literally,\u201d one insider told People<\/em>, noting that Trudeau, 53, has been joining Perry, 41, between stops in her Lifetimes world tour. “He’s shown that he’s committed and really cares about spending time with her. It’s clear that he values the connection, and so does Katy.”<\/p>\n

For her part, Perry is said to be “flattered” and “in a great place” regarding the romance. While she didn’t see it coming, she’s been “really enjoying this surprising life twist,” as the politician reportedly \u201cchecks all the boxes\u201d with his sense of humour and respectful treatment of Perry.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is crazy about her and thinks she is the perfect woman,\u201d a source told Page Six<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThey are simpatico on everything, including politics, kids and French food.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both enter this new chapter after long-term relationships<\/a>. Earlier this year, Perry announced she and Orlando Bloom<\/a> had broken up<\/a> after nearly a decade together. The two share a daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom<\/a>, whom they continue to co-parent.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Trudeau separated from his ex-wife, Sophie Gr\u00e9goire, in 2023 after 18 years and three children together.<\/p>\n
