There was no missing Meghan Markle at the Balenciaga<\/a> Spring\/Summer 2026 show. Dressed in a sculptural white coordinating set and seated beneath the mirrored ceilings of the H\u00f4tel des Invalides, the Duchess of Sussex<\/a> embodied the timeless glamour of the Maison’s new chapter under Pierpaolo Piccioli’s creative direction<\/a>. But beyond her star power and chic outfit, Markle made headlines for showing off something else: traffic-stopping luminous skin.<\/p>\n

Her makeup, subtle yet striking, seemed to glow from within\u2014the kind of radiance that looks effortless but is expertly crafted. And to prove that the look is actually more replicable than you’d think, her longtime makeup artist Daniel Martin<\/a>\u2014the man who famously created her wedding-day makeup<\/a>\u2014revealed on Instagram<\/a> exactly how he created it.<\/p>\n

The goal was something \u201clight, fresh and radiant,\u201d he explained in a video walkthrough that quickly went viral. \u201cWhat an overwhelming reaction you all have had to this look!\u201d he wrote, surprised by the flood of praise, insisting that no trickery was involved.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t use anything revolutionary,\u201d he admitted, noting that he simply relied on his familiar favourites.<\/p>\n

At the top of the list was his go-to Tatcha skincare<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m not saying that because I\u2019m with the brand \u2026 it\u2019s a skincare ritual that has been in my kit, and that I\u2019ve used with clients for years.\u201d Chief among them, The Serum Stick<\/a>, which gave Meghan\u2019s skin \u201cadded radiance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI actually mixed the Tatcha Longevity Serum<\/a> in with the foundation, and I think that added another layer of radiance to her makeup,\u201d he continued. The foundation in question? Orc\u00e9 Cosmetics\u2019 Come Closer Serum Foundation<\/a>, chosen for its skin-like finish. (And yes, the brand does<\/em> ship internationally!)<\/p>\n

To avoid excess shine, Martin reached for a Paris-Berlin<\/a> compact powder\u2014a brand sold exclusively in Paris, unfortunately\u2014to dust lightly over the T-zone.<\/p>\n

\u201c[It] added another layer of radiance to her makeup that just made her look even more juicy and glowy,\u201d he said, describing how he massages foundation in with his fingers before refining with a brush and sponge.<\/p>\n

For sculpting, Martin used Tom Ford\u2019s iconic Shade and Illuminate Contour Duo<\/a>. Lips were softly defined with Make Up For Ever\u2019s Artist Colour Pencil<\/a> in Wherever Walnut and Tom Ford\u2019s Runway Lip Colour in Iconic Nude<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s not about the makeup; it\u2019s about looking beautiful,\u201d Martin said. \u201cWe wanted to keep everything light and fresh.\u201d<\/p>\n

On her eyes, he applied a faint smudge of shadow and a few coats of mascara\u2014Markle’s new favourite from MAC. \u201cI introduced her to this MAC mascara, which she loves,\u201d he noted, but didn’t specify the exact kind. The effect was expressive, polished and yet boldly natural, which perfectly matched her outfit.<\/p>\n

Later in the evening, when she changed into an all-black outfit, the look pivoted to something a little more sultry.<\/p>\n

A hint of smoked eyeliner and a darker brown shadow ensured the former royal was nighttime-ready, while the hair was kept slicked back.<\/p>\n
