A new album often heralds a new era\u2014not just musically, but sartorially. And no one understands the art of reinvention quite like Miley Cyrus. Fresh off the release of Something Beautiful<\/em><\/a>, her ninth studio album, the pop provocateur has reemerged with a wardrobe that strikes the most satisfying balance between raw and polished glamour we crave.<\/p>\n

In New York City, where the singer has been promoting the album with a slew of appearances, her fashion choices have served as a masterclass in modern rock \u2018n\u2019 roll refinement. Think an exciting array of leather\u2014thigh-skimming Mugler minis and oversized motorcycle jackets\u2014tailoring, and 70s-style eveningwear.<\/p>\n

Styled by Bradley Kenneth<\/a>, the mix of vintage<\/a> with current-season treasures\u2014from archival Thierry Mugler<\/a> pulled from her personal closet to a subtle Marlo tote by The Row<\/a> and dramatic McQueen for the 2025 Oscars red carpet<\/a>. Sticking to a tight palette of black, white and the occasional pop of colour, with a host of textures, embellishments and lived-in fabrics\u2014and hair<\/a>, too\u2014the former Disney star proves the enduring power of monochromatics.<\/p>\n

Cyrus\u2019s latest style era is as much a visual album as the one she\u2019s just dropped, embracing an edgy retro aesthetic with a modern sensibility. Something beautiful, indeed.<\/p>\n
