In a moment of mother-daughter twinning, Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte<\/a> opted for coordinating outfits at this year\u2019s Trooping the Colour parade.<\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales wore an aquamarine coat dress by Catherine Walker<\/a> to the event, featuring ivory lapels and cuffs. A matching hat by Juliette Botterill Millinery<\/a> with floral detailing, as well as drop pearl earrings once belonging to the late Queen Elizabeth<\/a>, were her accessories of choice. As the colonel of the Irish Guards, the royal also wore the Irish Guards Regimental Brooch pinned to the front of her dress.<\/p>\n

Her daughter Charlotte mirrored her mother\u2019s timeless style in a lighter-hued dress with a white hem at the neckline and a white bow at the waist. A matching white bow in her half-up, half-down hairstyle, and white ballet flats, polished the two-toned look off.<\/p>\n

Looking to the past, Middleton has taken sartorial inspiration from her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana<\/a>, on numerous occasions, and this look also felt reminiscent.<\/p>\n

At the same event in 1988, the people\u2019s Princess also wore a Catherine Walker coat dress\u2014hers in teal\u2014with ivory detailing down the collar and on the cuffs. She paired the dress with a Phillip Sommerville hat as well as a three-row pearl choker and earrings.<\/p>\n

In their very own family twinning moment, a young Prince Harry<\/a> matched his mother with a white shirt under matching teal shorts and suspenders.<\/p>\n

The ceremonial parade celebrates the British monarch\u2019s birthday with a military showcase. While it is not the King\u2019s real birthday, it is a tradition that dates back to the 18th<\/sup> century.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event happens to be Middleton\u2019s first since her cancer went into remission<\/a>, making it particularly
