After seven seasons of turning Bravo drama into must-see TV, Paige DeSorbo is stepping away from Summer House<\/em>. But make no mistake \u2014 she\u2019s not slowing down. In fact, she\u2019s stepping fully into her next era as a founder, fashion entrepreneur, and multi-hyphenate creative with the launch of Daphne<\/a>, her new luxe loungewear label designed for staying in \u2014 and looking incredible while doing it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like, truly, I\u2019ve been the past six months stepping into a new era of work and personal life,\u201d DeSorbo tells GRAZIA USA<\/em>\u00a0in an exclusive interview. \u201cIt just felt most authentic to me now.\u201d<\/p>\n

The debut of Daphne and the announcement of her departure dropped in the same week \u2014 a deliberate move that symbolized more than just a career shift. It marked a transition from reality star to business visionary, something she\u2019s quietly been working on for over three years.<\/p>\n

A Brand Born in Bed<\/h3>\n

As fans of Giggly Squad<\/em> and her Amazon Live series already know, DeSorbo has long been the unofficial ambassador for matching pajama sets, oversized tees, and being unapologetically horizontal<\/a>. But behind the comfort-first aesthetic is a founder with a clear point of view \u2014 and a desire to disrupt what we expect from loungewear.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince the day I got on Summer House<\/em>, I definitely wanted to come out with something that really aligns with me,\u201d she lets GRAZIA<\/em> in on. \u201cAnd I remember thinking, maybe three or four years into the show, I missed it. I missed the mark… But I\u2019m so thankful that that happened because anything I would have come out with at that time, really, I don\u2019t think would have aligned with me. I wouldn\u2019t have loved it as much as I love Daphne.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pandemic was a turning point. \u201cObviously, everyone was home and needed loungewear,\u201d DeSorbo recalls. \u201cAnd I was just like, if I see one more tie-dye set, I\u2019m going to freak out. This is done.\u201d That moment of frustration became the spark for her very first piece: the Hannah Tee, named after her best friend and podcast co-host, Hannah Berner<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHannah legitimately wore the same T-shirt every single day during COVID,\u201d DeSorbo says. \u201cAt one point, I was like, have you washed it?… I went into the team and was like, \u2018What if we make it more authentic to Hannah and we put stains on it?\u2019 And they were like, \u2018We don\u2019t love it. We know this is your brand, but we are going to stand firm on this one.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI have this thing where best idea wins. Just because I came up with the idea for Daphne<\/em> brand doesn\u2019t mean I have the best idea for everything\u2026 I have so many creative, smart people who have been in the business for years that really have been helping me with things that I have no idea about.\u201d<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Still, the real-life inspiration remained baked into the design \u2014 and that authenticity has shaped the entire collection.<\/p>\n

Childhood Memories, Croc Compatibility, and the Perfect Capri<\/h3>\n

Every piece in Daphne has a story. For the 32-year-old, it wasn\u2019t just about creating something stylish, but designing from a place of personal memory.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom my childhood, I had this pair of pajama pants \u2014 I honestly think they were from the Gap or Old Navy \u2014 and I had them for so long they became Capri pants,\u201d she shares. \u201cThey were the softest, I\u2019d washed them a million times. So we came out with a pointelle Capri.\u201d<\/p>\n

That sense of \u201cwanting what doesn\u2019t yet exist\u201d became the foundation for silhouettes and fabrics that are not only cozy but functional for real life \u2014 whether you’re lounging, working from home, or slipping on a kitten heel for a midday coffee run.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think my personal favorite is the poplin pant and the little matching crop top,\u201d DeSorbo admits. \u201cIt looks like you might have been awake for a couple of hours, but probably not.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI made it versatile for the gigglers,\u201d she adds. \u201cIf you\u2019re a Croc girl, I feel like it will still go.\u201d<\/p>\n

Creating Without Pressure \u2014 And Loving It<\/h3>\n

Perhaps the most refreshing part of DeSorbo’s founder journey is how much she enjoyed it. As a mental health advocate, and someone who hasn’t shyed away from sharing her own journey with her fans, one might think adding such a large new venture to her plate would cause added stress and anxiety, right? Wrong \u2014 and another proven point that founding a fashion brand has always been at the crux of what DeSorbo has felt called to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, I\u2019m so busy that I don\u2019t really have a moment to even freak out… I\u2019m like, this is just a regular work day \u2014 I just have a million people talking about it.\u201d<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Unlike many celebrity brands that can feel rushed or overly strategic, Daphne came together slowly, lovingly, and totally on her terms. \u201cI didn\u2019t put pressure on myself to have it out by a certain date or make sure it was on Summer House<\/em>,\u201d she explains. \u201cIt really did become like, \u2018This is fun.\u2019 We\u2019re all fashion girlies in the room. We all want to see what a different button looks like. I don\u2019t feel like an adult because I\u2019m just like, this is a fun thing that we\u2019re doing after school.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, the design process wasn\u2019t without surprises. \u201cEverything takes so long,\u201d she came to be surprised by. \u201cIf I got a sample back, I could stare at it for literally five seconds and see three things I wanted to change. It was like, okay, well, that’s going to take a couple of months to get those buttons in or to change how this falls.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even details like piping weight or stitching depth had to be carefully reconsidered. \u201cThere\u2019s so many little decisions that you don\u2019t think about,\u201d she says. \u201cBut again, my team made it so easy. So everyone was like, okay, we\u2019ll wait for the buttons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leaving Summer House <\/em>\u2014 But Not the Spotlight<\/h3>\n

When asked about the decision to leave Summer House<\/em>, DeSorbo made it clear that it was all about timing \u2014 and authenticity.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so incredibly grateful to Summer House<\/em>,\u201d she says from the heart. \u201cI truly wouldn\u2019t have any of the platform or any of the fan base that I have without it. But I don\u2019t plan on disappearing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis sounds clich\u00e9, but I\u2019m so excited to go to my parents\u2019 house for three weeks this summer,\u201d she adds with a laugh. \u201cI can\u2019t really put my finger on it, but it was just a feeling inside. I felt like I was stepping into a new era.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Notes App, The Cat, and The Easter Eggs<\/h3>\n

For a line so sleek, it\u2019s full of personal Easter eggs \u2014 some only her mom would notice. \u201cI had a shirt from Forever 21 in ninth grade and it looked like the poplin crop top,\u201d DeSorbo reveals. \u201cI\u2019ve thought about that shirt for so many summers because I\u2019m like, that was the perfect summer shirt.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even the name Daphne has a sentimental origin \u2014 not so surprisingly to the Gigglers though.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt like a middle school girl with a crush when we were coming up with different names,\u201d she continues. \u201cI kept writing the names on pieces of paper and looking at it and then texting it and seeing what it looked like… A man came up with the name Daphne. I had already obviously had Daphne [the cat], but he said, \u2018What about Daphne?\u2019 And right when he said it, I was like, it\u2019s perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n

And the real Daphne? She\u2019s the brand muse in more ways than one. \u201cShe sleeps 22 hours of the day,\u201d DeSorbo laughs. \u201cSo she inspires a lot of, like, okay, we\u2019re lounging, we\u2019re sleeping, we\u2019re cuddling.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI show her every time she’s on social media. She loved her Dunkin. She was so proud of herself. I would say Daphn\u00e9 inspires a lot of it because she sleeps 22 hours of the day.\u201d<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cDaphne\u2019s eyes are this piercing blue. And so it was important to me… I want our coloring to be more in the blues. I feel like people would have expected me to do pink… but the Daphne blue, I feel like I never really see it.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if she used her Notes app to jot down never-before-shared ideas that contributed to the creation of this passion project, she jokes in a very Paige-coded way, \u201cMy Notes app? Like, literally, I\u2019d be arrested. I would never show anyone those. Those are diabolical. If I die, someone has to delete my Notes app.\u201d<\/p>\n

What Comes Next<\/h3>\n

While the June 10 launch introduces the brand<\/a>, DeSorbo is already dreaming beyond it. She envisions Daphne as a lifestyle brand that can grow with her \u2014 and her audience.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m already getting so many messages like, \u2018When are you going to do men\u2019s?\u2019 And I\u2019m like, I just don\u2019t care about them yet,\u201d she jokes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI see Daphne growing with me as my life grows… I literally had a moment the other day where I was like, Wait, kids\u2019 pajamas are going to be so great in a couple of years.\u201d<\/p>\n

But no matter how big the brand gets, the energy will remain the same: fun, personal, and for the girls. \u201cI\u2019m very excited for Daphne. I\u2019m excited for the girls to experience it,\u201d DeSorbo says with a smile. \u201cI\u2019m so connected to the Gigglers. I can\u2019t wait to hear their feedback because it\u2019s for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI truly feel like this is my art that I\u2019m giving to the people and then letting them critique and criticize,\u201d DeSorbo shares. \u201cBut it\u2019s definitely been one of those things where I think about seven-year-old me and fantasizing like, \u2018Okay, one day I\u2019m going to have a fashion line, and what\u2019s it going to be?\u2019\u201d Now, that fantasy is her reality \u2014 one that she built with intention, humor, and heart.<\/p>\n

From pandemic-daydreamed mood boards to a thoughtfully executed launch, Daphne isn\u2019t just Paige DeSorbo\u2019s next business move \u2014 it\u2019s the culmination of years of quietly dreaming, diligently creating, and staying true to herself.<\/p>\n

And for that seven-year-old girl who once imagined her own fashion line? She didn\u2019t just get there \u2014 she did it in matching
