We don’t typically take our style advice from a 2-year-old, but Kylie Jenner’s progeny, Stormi Webster, is really making us reconsider the tie-dye trend.<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, Jenner tried out a new hairstyle on her mini – gelled back into a twisted bun with two clips – and while it was very cute, it was Stormi’s ensemble that sparked our interest instead. Wearing her daddy’s merch, Stormi touted a mini version of Travis Scott’s ‘Official Souvenir Tee’<\/a> in a blue and purple tie dye print, which she paired with a chunky silver chain, grey bike shorts and white bobby socks with Nike’s.<\/p>\n

Originally, we thought perhaps we were just enamored with Webster’s general cuteness – being so tiny and all, she does have an unfair advantage in being very persuasive – but peruse the “Just In” page on any retailer and you will be met with a plethora of retina-searing tie-dye print.<\/p>\n

Unlike its 60s and 70s counterparts, tie-dye has since shed its hippie roots becoming a firm fixture in high fashion circles. A trend that seemed to take off in 2018 \/ early 2019 with the likes of Prada and Proenza Schouler championing its saturated aesthetic, it seems the acid wash and bright tones have regained the spotlight, capturing our fashionable imagination once more.<\/p>\n

But unlike the dye jobs from high school, today tie-dye assumes a much more stylish ranking. It takes both a streetwear turn, splashed across oversized tees and baggy sweatshirts as if ready for a skate thanks to cucumber-cool brands like Aries, where designer Sofia Prantera spent her early days on the skateboard scene in the 90s. Or a more haute spin, like Proenza Schouler’s freshly dye-dipped wares or Loewe’s new Paula’s Ibiza collection, a range seemingly dedicated to the color-happy print.<\/p>\n

Both spontaneous and streamlined in its splatter, tie-dye really is the only spin to get into at the moment. We probably won’t look as cute as Stormi Webster, but we’re OK with that. Try the trend below.<\/p>\n
