I’d be lying if I said that I own many luxury towels. It’s not that I wouldn’t be open to it, but I’d surely need a really good reason to shell out the big bucks to dry off my body. Enter Resorè, the antimicrobial and hypoallergenic towel I (and my coworkers) didn’t know we needed until…yesterday. AKA, when the brand officially launched.

A lot of science goes into this super-soft piece of fabric, but the biggest and most important takeaway is that it kills 99.9 percent of bacteria and germs. The idea for this innovation is based on research that we, humans, don’t wash our towels as often as we should. Moral of the story: If you’re not going to wash it, you might as well invest in a product that can clean itself and prevent that yucky dirty towel smell.

A dirty towel can cause breakouts, no matter how serious your skincare routine is. Acne and blemishes spring up when your pores get clogged with bacteria. Not to totally freak you out, your unwashed towel might be the culprit.

On that note, the line launched with two products: The Face Wash Cloth ($35) and The Body Towel ($99)— both of which will be available in select Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and Saks starting October 27. The towels are available in two natural colors: beige and white.

Supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the Melbourne-based brand’s first ambassador. “When Resorè approached me, I was so intrigued to learn about the relationship between your towel and your skin,” says Whiteley. “What I love about this antimicrobial towel is that it breaks down acne-causing bacteria and protects the health of your skin. The Face Wash Cloth and The Body Towel have become new essential items in my beauty routine.”

The brand also recruited Australian skin expert Melanie Grant, who’s always looking for the next best innovation.  “What I love about this innovative towel is that it breaks down acne-causing bacteria and really respects the skin’s functions, long term. I like using The Face Wash Cloth as part of my evening routine to remove my cleansers, peels, and masks. The Body Towel is super gentle for the skin and hair, dries quickly and continues to soften with use.”

Resorè’s CEO, Nathan Jackson, is thrilled to finally bring the product to market. “We couldn’t be more excited to be launching our beauty textile brainchild, Resorè, which we have worked on for the past two years,” he says. “Our mission is to revolutionize and rejuvenate our relationships with our bathroom, bodies, and skin, and as a result, we made something different for our skin: we made a clean towel.”
