Bridal is one of the most daunting and exhausting things one will ever experience in their fashion life. Toying with trends and personal taste seems an impossible task, as too indecisiveness, budgets, and even worse – the much-feared bridal shopping assistant (“babe, you look AH-mazing“).

So do you go classic and timeless? Or are you a risk-taker who likes to take the plunge and make a fashion splash? Or do you buck all kinds of bridal norms and go short and sexy? The possibilities – and stress – are seemingly endless.

Thankfully, our knights in retail shining armor, Matches Fashion, are coming to the rescue of brides and bridesmaids (even Bridezillas) everywhere with their first-ever dedicated wedding edit.

Launching today, the global luxury shopping destination unveils (!) The Wedding Edit, a dedicated edit of modern wedding and event pieces that comprise not only gowns but all the bridal bells and whistles that weddings require: jewelry, headwear, handbags and footwear (very important – particularly when bridal hemlines are growing increasingly shorter).

With a focus on feature designs that can be worn more than once, the curation intends to make it easy for customers searching for special outfits. From modern bridal to more classic couture, over 30 bespoke collections and 250 unique pieces have been created by designers especially for the launch, plus an additional curation of pieces from over 65 established and emerging designers.

But why now? “We have noticed an increase in sales across our eveningwear and modern tailoring categories, particularly in monochrome tones,” explains Natalie Kingham, Matches Fashion Buying Director. “We wanted to create a dedicated area where our clients can find unique pieces for their wedding and special events that can be worn again for many years to come. We are thrilled to partner with some of our favorite designers on special collections for the launch, from Christopher Kane, Erdem and Giles to Stephen Jones and Molly Goddard.”

Observing its unique buying approach, Matches Fashion has considered its six customer muses – the Free Spirit, the Curator, the Purist, the Romantic, the Fashion Pioneer, and the Warrior – while curating the wedding edit with an attempt to appeal to a diverse spectrum of personal styles.

The Wedding Edit will be updated with regular delivery drops all year round to appeal to customers around the globe. So whether you’re a modern, fashion-forward bride, a hopeless romantic, or even the fussiest Bridezilla – Matches Fashion will help you walk down the aisle with ease.

The Wedding Edit launches online at www.matchesfashion.com on 22nd January 2020. See the full list of designers below.
