As we patiently (or not) await the upcoming fourth season of the Amazon Prime Original hit series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, our shining star Emmy-winning actress Rachel Brosnahan made two super stylish stops yesterday to promote the Maisel’s highly anticipated return. Portraying our favorite quick-lipped funny girl Miriam “Midge” Maisel, Brosnahan’s bright and bold sartorial choices would have made the chic comedienne proud.
Opting for a fire engine red ensemble for her first press stop of the day, Brosnahan took to Instagram to joke, “Fresh flowers. Fresh cut. Fresh face. Fresh fit. Did you know if you type fresh enough times in a row it doesn’t look like a real word anymore? Do your worst 2022.” Much like her wisecracking, quick-witted character, the actress’ funny bone shined through. Expertly rocking a fitted Sergio Hudson Spring/Summer 2022 monochromatic set, the red turtleneck and crimson slit midi skirt were completed by Brosnahan’s patent leather red pumps with the help of her stylist Alexandra Mandelkorn.
With notes of a refined bohemian, Brosnahan’s Altuzarra Spring/Summer 2022 rope dress veers away from the classic and tailored look of her previous Sergio Hudson get-up. Trim and certainly put-together, the earthy and free-flowing essence of the navy tie-dyed knit dress was perfectly matched with a pair of navy Tamara Mellon’s pillow-top heels.
Later that evening, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star popped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss the show’s return and finding a dead rat in the toilet of her New York City apartment. Donning a royal blue and cerulean two-piece set, with her open Adoni plissé-effect blouse was held together by a bit of fashion floss. Easy and breezy, Brosnahan’s second Altuzarra S/S 22 ensemble was topped off by a pair of Tamara Mellon’s new pillow-top heels.
While her bright blue color palette would definitely be Midge-approved, “effortless” is not exactly in our protagonists’ style vocabulary. Letting her brunette fringed locks flow, the star’s relaxed modern femininity is in direct contract to her character’s staunch and tailored selections.
After about two years since we last saw our our fast talking comic, her chaotic mid-century Manhattanite family, and the exuberant and lively 1950s fashions the costumes bring, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will return to our screens with its fourth season on February 18th- mark your calendars.
