In case you somehow missed it (literally, how?, if so), Kourtney Kardashian is engaged. The 41-year-old mother-of-three was surprised by her Blink-182 drummer boyfriend Travis Barker on Sunday night at the beach in Montecito, where he dropped down on one knee surrounded by hundreds of red roses and candles.
Videos and images of what looked to be an engagement between the pair started circulating online on Sunday evening, shared first to Instagram gossip site @DeuxMoi. A few hours later, Kardashian confirmed the news, posting two images of herself and Barker from the engagement with the caption, “Forever.” Kicked off by older sister, Kim, who wrote, “KRAVIS FOREVER” online, the Kardashian-Jenner family then started posting their congratulations to social media, sharing content from the evening’s celebrations, including showing off the huge diamond ring on Kardashian’s finger.
But one member of the family has been notably absent from the party: Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick.
Following the engagement news, hundreds of fans took to Twitter to speculate about what Disick, Kardashian’s on-again, off-again ex-boyfriend of nine years (and father of her three children), would be thinking, especially given the recent mishap where he questioned Kardashian and Barker’s PDA-filled relationship via Instagram DMs which were shared publicly. The incident, wherein Disick wrote, “Is this chick okay?” and sent it to Kardashian’s other ex, Younes Bendjima, prompted Disick’s new girlfriend Amelia Hamlin to promptly dump him.
“I can just see @ScottDisick saying “I OBJECT” when the priest says “speak now or forever hold your peace” at Kourtney & Travis’ wedding..,” one person wrote on Twitter. Another, which has over 17k likes, was a video of a man saying ‘congratulations’ through tears:

Despite never marrying, Disick and Kardashian dated on and off for nine years and had three children together. They finally split for good in 2015 with Disick going on to date model Sofia Richie for three years, but were most recently linked again just last summer when Disick and Richie broke up, reportedly due to his close proximity to Kardashian.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians final season then showed Disick declaring his love for his ex, clearly wanting to rekindle their romance. But Kardashian met Barker and began very publicly dating him, leading us to where we are today.
