As the weather outside heats up, so has the romance between British singer-songwriter Rita Ora and New Zealand film director Taika Waititi. The rumors surrounding the couple’s romance have been making their rounds on the internet for weeks after Ora was seen with Waititi at the Sydney Opera House for the RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under red carpet premiere.

The 30-year-old “Let You Love Me” singer—who has been in Sydney while filming The Voice—and 45-year-old Jojo Rabbit director made their romantic debut as a couple walking out of Waititi’s Bondi Beach home in Australia on May 16.

The new couple did nothing to hide their affection and put on a show of PDA during their first public outing. Cozied up to each other, the couple rocked casual beachwear with Ora donning an all black ensemble capped off with a bucket hat and Waititi wearing a pair of yellow, rainbow-print shorts and a Prince Purple Rain t-shirt.

They were reportedly very playful with one another, with Ora sticking her tongue out at Waititi as they walked to grab a bite to eat, and Waititi reportedly kissing her hand as they sat and ate.

The unofficial confirmation comes after the pair were spotted together on the red carpet earlier this month. While they avoiding posing together, they were seated next to each other and got cozy once inside the venue.

The new romance comes just months after Ora split from French director Romain Gavras earlier this year, while Waititi—born Taika David Cohen, shares two daughters with ex Chelsea Winstanley; the couple divorced in 2018.
