This past weekend was the perfect weekend to host a garden dinner soiree out east–And that’s just what Michael Kors did for his 40th-anniversary celebration. The weather, not too hot, not too chilly, and a light breeze (a sign that August is finally here) made for a dazzling summer evening. The designer’s longtime friends Lizzie Tisch Bridgehampton’s home served as the venue for the intimate seated dinner.
Along with Tisch’s, Kor’s longtime muse Naomi Watts, who also co-hosted the dinner, welcomed guests as they arrived with specialty cocktails ahead of the lavish feast. Dinner was served buffet-style, typical backyard staples including cheeseburgers, hot dogs, exquisite fish, grilled vegetables, french fries were all present; of course, with an ever so chic touch.
The event couldn’t have been any more quintessential Michael Kors. Nearly everyone naturally wore the eponymous label, including Tisch in a complete tuxedo look from the recent Michael Kors’ Fall-Winter 2021 collection. The secluded garden felt like a whimsical dream decorated with fairy lights and tables lit with dim candlelights uttering laissez-faire vibes. Friends and special guests surrounded the iconic designer, including Christie Brinkley, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, David Burtka, Neil Patrick Harris, Inez Van Lamsweerde, Aerin Lauder, Vinoodh Matadin, David Neville, Claire Olshan, Jonathan Tisch, Gucci Westman, Rachel Zoe, and more.
As the sunset grazed the horizon and the clinging of champagne glasses following heartfelt toast from the hosts, the day became night, and the intimate event came to a glorious close.
