For the first time, Kanye West was notably absent at the long weekend’s Easter festivities following his divorce from Kim Kardashian in February. But on Instagram, the reality star is still supporting West if only very subtly. Followers noticed Kardashian posted a series of images of herself wearing a subdued yellow activewear set and new YEEZY slides, and gossip on Twitter followed.
“Kim still promoting Kanye’s Yeezys”, one user tweeted. Another noted, “Damn Kim got all them unreleased Yeezys”.
While it may be in Kardashian’s best commercial interest to promote the brand, the beauty mogul is reportedly no longer on speaking terms with West. A source told Page Six the rapper and designer had cut himself off from Kardashian, despite the pair continuing to co-parent.
“Even before Kim filed for divorce, Kanye changed his numbers and said, ‘You can contact me through my security,’” the insider told the outlet.
Kardashian hasn’t directly commented on the divorce but in a recent interview admitted the past 12 months have been difficult.
“I think this year has been challenging for so many people but I also think that this year was a huge cleanse and just a huge opportunity for people to really be grateful for the simple things and that is a huge — I think awakening that some people had.”
“I always try to look at things in a positive way,” Kardashian continued. “Even though it has been such a challenging year, it’s a time to regenerate, get creative, spend so much time with family and just this time I’ve been able to spend with my children has been priceless. That part has been so beautiful.”
It has also been rumored that Kardashian will keep the family’s infamous Californian mansion, reportedly worth upwards of $40 million. Amid the divorce, the 40-year-old mother also asked for joint legal and physical custody of the children with Kanye West; however, the finer details of the agreement are not known.
