Seems like as more time passes since Keeping Up ended this year, more and more details have come to the foreground about what really happened behind the glittery and opulent scenes. In it’s 14 years and 20 season, Khloé Kardashian has always been a key player in the dynamic of the show. She was often deemed the “real one” and someone who was “no nonsense.”

But what happens when you are misled by family, in this case, Kris Jenner, who is habitually known for being the puppeteer behind the Kardashian Empire. In a recent interview, Khloé revealed that Jenner “misled” her and her sister Kourtney, 42, about the filming process of Keeping Up.

Khloé revealed this information while making an appearance on Side by Side with Malika & Khadijah, a YouTube weekly series exploring “life, beauty, love, and family,” hosted by Khadijah Haqq McCray and her twin sister, Malika Haqq.

The reality star and bikini-wear mogul revealed that “[The Kardashians] didn’t really know what they were getting into,” and that they were told that the majority of the show would stay away from their domestic life and rather focus on the going ons of DASH, the Kardashian boutique. The workload involved was also a shock to Kardashian. She claims that “momager” Kris did not disclose to her kids how involved they would be and wasn’t complete transparent about the show in the early aughts.

‘[Kris Jenner] was like, “Yeah, we’re just going to film at the stores. It’s all you have to do,’ Kardashian said. “Then, we were just like, “Okay, we’re already here. We’ll just do it.” Work is work I guess, I’d do it for the check.

Khloé stated that the show “all snowballed” and they didn’t have any idea what they were doing with what they had no ideas would become one of the largest, worldwide pop culture movements of the twenty-first century.
